Samburu Traditional dance

The similarities and differences of dancing styles in most Kenyan communities is brought by several factors.

Dancing styles are influenced by proximity of one community to other, geographical location and place or origin The Samburu and Maasai share same dancing styles, this is due to the fact that both communities share same place origin. In fact both communities share several traditional ceremonies and the procedure of such ceremonies are almost the same.

Kenyan traditional dances are characterized by jumping and clapping of hands. These characteristics are observed mostly in people of nilotic and cushitic origin.
