The belonging worth millions have been reduced to ashes in North Horr Girls Secondary School in North Horr,Marsabit County  following a fire outbreak on one of their dormitories.
The fire inferno that occurred on afternoon Sunday April 17, 2017 ,destroyed belongings of the students worth millions according to eye-witnesses.

The fire was caused by a welding machine when the constructors were removing grills on the windows of the dormitories for safety precautions of students as instructed by the ministry of education.
Speaking with Radio Jangwani the principal of said school Beatrice Wagui said the fire extending very fast due to strong wind in the region.
“We have lost millions in the dormitory that includes student’s beddings and other personal belongings”

She added that the dormitory hosts ninety eight students and she appealing to the Government and other well wishers to come in and assist in recovery of the destroyed properties.
The incident occurred when the students were still on their first term holiday.
