The Kalenjin are an ethnic grouping of eight culturally and linguistically related tribes. Keiyo, Marakwet, Suk (Pokot), the Terik and the Sabaot (Who live in Mount Elgon Region). They presently occupy Keiyo-Marakwet County, Tranzoia County, Kericho County and parts of Nakuru County.
