9th, April 2018-Three people ;a moran, his expectant wife and their child have been killed in an overnight attack by suspected cattle rustlers on Olturot village, Laisamis Sub county, Marsabit.
The attackers who are believed to be from the neighbouring communities are still on the run as Kenya Police reservists in the area continue with the chase.
The sole surviving member of the family is a one and a half year old infant who also sustained serious injuries and rescue operation was delayed by heavy rain in the region.
The Marsabit county leadership has since come to the support of the now orphaned baby.

The county governor Mohamud Ali earlier today facilitated for the infant’s air lifting to Kenyatta hospital for specialised treatment.
Security in the area has since been tightened even though the security personnel in the area are yet to give a report on the situation.
