The two enter the race which shaping up to be a do-or-die duel among rendille tribe who voted for Jubilee Party, in the County.

Moyale Sub-County Administrator Ambrose Harugura seek to wrest the coveted seat from the immediate former holder, Mathew Loltome, who successfully managed 2013 house with alot of scrutiny.

The two and other unknown contenders who have made their aspirations for the lucrative seat known, bringing the gap for those who have expressed interest. But even as the jostling intensifies, sources within Jubilee indicate that the party is zeroing in on specific candidate, with Mr Loltome as the front-runner.

Loltome was also involved deeply in Mr Ali’s campaigns where he helped marshal rendille votes in entire Marsabit County giving a golden chance to Governor elect Muhamed Ali’s team with a smooth win after first attempt in 2013.

On his part, Mr Loltome’s experience having served as a Speaker with the first Marsabit County Assembly gives him an additional boost. With Jubilee set to control the assembly, it will be interesting to see how the duel unfolds.
