The body of Godana Eisimgalboran, the driver of the PS Public works Mariam El-Maawy who was attacked by al-Shabaab in Lamu yesterday has arrived in Marsabit for burial.
The deceased is among the three who were killed by the Alshabaab along Mpeketoni-Lamu road in an ambush.
The burial of the late Godana Esimgalboran was held in Hulahula,9Km away from Marsabit Town.
Godana was a driver for the Prado that was attacked on the way to Lamu ferrying public works PS Miriam El-Wawiy.
“Our brother is the most respected elder in Rendille community in Marsabit county, He’s vocal and passionate on community affairs” Say’s Sales Gambare, brother to the deceased.
The deceased left behind four children, two boys and two girls who are still schooling in various parts of the country.
“The elderly daughter of the late recently graduated from the University of Nairobi, we urge the government of Kenya to give her a job in the same ministry to continue supporting the young ones” Say’s Sales Gambare.
The heavy cloud engulfed the Marsabit Mountain as the deceased was laid to rest signifying a symbol of sorrow, sadness and that a King has fallen.
