Every year wings to Fly Schorship program countrywide select and sponsor bright and needy pupils.
This year in Marsabit County 200 applicants applied for Wings to Fly Scholarships and only 26 applicants were selected following a vigorous screening process.
A team of pupils comprises of who sat for last year’s KCPE exams in different parts of the county are among beneficiaries of this year’s Equity Bank Group Wings to Fly Scholarships.
The bank’s Marsabit Branch General Manager Benson Kinyua said the scholarship fund benefits bright students with demonstrated financial need.
“We did the selection after conducting serious screening of the applicants as well asmakinghouse to house visits to make sure they meet the set criteria.” He said
Among 26 selected students 5 are from Saku, 4 from Northorr, 4 from Laisamis and 13 from Moyale, Sololo and part of Wajir.
The 26 students will attend the scholarship’s inauguration ceremony on 9th January 2017 at Kasarani Stadium.
Wings to Fly Program provide comprehensive scholarships to academically gifted, yet economically disadvantaged secondary students in Kenya.
The program covers tuition, books, uniforms, and stipends for the entire duration of the secondary education of the beneficiaries.
Over 200 Students benefitted from Wings To Fly Scholarship Since it started in Marsabit County.
