Police are still man-hunting two robbers in connection with robbery with violence incident involving a car at Dambala Fachana area, Obbu Ward, Moyale sub-county.
Confirming the incident Police County Commander Ben Kogo said the car,a Land Cruiser registration number KCG 306Y, white in colour was bound for Dambala Fachana enroute from Sololo when it was cornerd by two men, one of them armed with AK47 rifle.
He said the gang forced the driver to give them the key to the car before disappearing with it and Ksh 5,000 cash.
Kogo said the car belongs to a company contracted by Safaricom company to do some repairs on their equipment when the theft occured.
He called on wananchi to report to the nearest police station or their area chief if they have any information that could help the police in their investigations.
He also urged people and companies visiting different places in the county to ensure they have enough information on security situations prior to their visit, and to report their trips in order to be given adequate security protection by the police.
Meanwhile, the county police chief has urged drivers to be cautious and vigilant on the roads especially at this time with on-set of rains.
Kogo said drivers should avoid over-speeding as the roads are much slippery.
He also expressed his belief that this rain will significantly help reduce high tensions over water and pasture in several locations in the county.
